Podcasts and Google Scholar

For those of you wanting more... Some Podcasts I just found are:

NPR Youth Radio
NPR Books and Literature (not N. Pearl)
Nancy Pearl's Book Review Podcast is found in iTunes by searching KUOW (I overheard someone mention that today during class and, yep, that was the ticket!) One episode per week. Free.
Wine Library TV (looks like a vodcast)
Univ. of Minnesota Bookstore Author Events (David Sedaris!, among others) via iTunes U
Library of Congress mega podcasts on all sorts of topics in iTunes U

Google Scholar!! Go to http://www.google.com/scholar and enter search terms. Your results list will be all scholarly journals (even some jstor, which is an expensive paid subscription ??). Nice high end content. Go to http://scholar.google.com/intl/en/scholar/about.html for "about Google Scholar" info.

I have a cool "giveaway" tomorrow for the first comment on this post... hee-hee

Thank you for the links, Teresa! I love the idea of a weekly Nancy Pearl podcast, and would definitely have a link to that on m,y library site (which I am itching to start building - the one at my school is ancient and very difficult to navigate. My pal (and your former student) Mark Richards just moved in to the short term apartment next door to mine, with his wife and son, and he says hello. I'm hoping he might let me help build the new one for our school library. Because I don't really have enough work to do . . .

I love NPR :) I think I will really love NPR podcasts. Okay, well I already know I love the "Wait, wait don't tell me" podcasts.
Thanks for the links, Teresa!
